PuraCap Pharmaceutical announced the launch of EpiCeram Controlled Release Skin Barrier Emulsion Quad Pack, which contains four 100g airless pumps. The new Epiceram Quad Pack can be evenly dispensed on itchy skin, and designed for patients with large affected areas or those who need frequent application.
EpiCeram is a Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved topical prescription emollient. It is indicated to treat dry skin conditions and to manage and relieve the burning and itching associated with various types of dermatoses, including atopic dermatitis, irritant contact dermatitis, and radiation dermatitis.
EpiCeram contains a balanced ratio of ceramides, free fatty acids, and cholesterol, which are essential lipids for total skin barrier repair; they mimic the lipid concentration found in the skin. It is formulated to help keep the skin at a pH of 5 and to repair the skin’s barrier to keep moisture in and other irritants out. Its patented controlled-release system delivers the lipids via multicomponent microspheres that contain submicron spheres.
EpiCeram is available in a Quad Pack of four 100g airless pumps, a 90g tube, and also a 225g airless pump.
